I completed the Masters Course in Vocal Pedagogy at Northeastern Illinois University under Professor Ron Combs.  For the decades that followed, I worked in Chicago…coaching actors, folk/rock/pop singers, and choir soloists.

My first love was classical piano, which I started at the age of nine.  It’s a great way for a young person to begin their musical training.

But every student is different, with varying interests, goals, and talents.  I’ve employed a wide variety of approaches to teaching piano, from reading music to playing modern styles by ear.

Many of my students have expanded their skill sets, from writing better band charts to utilizing more interesting rhyme patterns, chord progressions and time signatures for their original songs.

RATES… depend on location (my place or yours?) and length of the lesson.
